In 2017, I was invited to join SPCC's chapter of NSLS. I was so excited when I got the email and then the letter because it was my first honors society invitation. During my time before I was inducted, I had to complete orientation, a leadership training day, 3 success networking team meetings and 3 speaker events. Out of all of my experiences while taking the steps towards induction, I feel like I learned the most from attending the success networking team meetings. All of the members of my group were so encouraging and we challenged each other to meet the goals that we set at each meeting. I am so grateful to have watched each and every one of the members of my group grow and accomplish each goal that they set out. Watching them taught me that I can do anything that I put my mind to and go after my dreams and goals.
